County, California Shrubs 5-8 Feet tall, without basal burl, leaves cordate at base and

distinctly clasping the stem, fruit large and globose, nutlets rarely separable; below road on

south-facing slope, associated with A. glandulosa, Quercus agrifolia, contd. in notes..
