On dunes near beach, facing rocky hill opposite the hotel, 5 miles south of San Pedro, Baja

California Gynodioecious plant with bright red flowers, styles 2-dilated and multifid, fruit

trilocular and distinctly lobed, related to J. cinerea and J. canescens; plants all dormant,

population of ca. 20 plants.
